Renowned photographer Chris Buck in 2007 asked me to pose for him in a series of photographs in which I portray an Olympic swimmer on his lunch break. This shot was taken on location in a Chinese restaurant in Brooklyn. You can imagine the faces of those entering the restaurant to purchase their take-out food during the shoot. Seeing this bloke dripping wet having his sesame noodles. Perhaps this image wii serve as my next CD cover. To see more great photography visit Chrisbuck.com
When I was finishing up work on the new CD, it occured to me the song "Tumbling Years" would also make a great album title. The passing of time is something no one can avoid and as you get older the passing of time becomes more apparent. You see it in yourself and those around you. In the two photographs to the far left are my father and mother as young children and as older adults in their 70's. On the right are me (left) and my brother walking through the snow and sitting in leaves. Then below is a recent photograph of both of us in New York City. To the left below, my mother's brother as a boy scout with his drum and a picture of him as he is now 81 years of age. These images are underneath the "Tumbling Years" CD in the case. The collage is a tribute to my family and to all those who view it.

When I had heard another CD produced by Benjy King, although the music was very different, I knew that Benjy would instinctively know where to go stylistically with my music. He is an outstanding producer/arranger. Benjy is of the old school of recording where the sound quality is of the utmost importance. So many CDs today are digitally compressed to the point of being unlistenable. All the instruments and vocals were reocrded to digital tape and Benjy's recording prowess created a real warm sound on Tumbling Years. A full sound that reminds me of the classic analog recordings.
